I work extensively at the intersection of academic research and public policy. As a research co-lead for the Canadian Research Network on Women, Peace, and Security, I collaborate with colleagues across government, academia, and civil society to support intersectional, feminist approaches to global security policy, with particular emphasis on emerging technologies; cyber governance; the UN Women, Peace, and Security Agenda; and the armed forces.
I’m also a member of the Freedom Online Coalition Advisory Network, which brings together civil society and academic experts to advise governments on issues of internet freedom, digital rights, and online harms.
Through policy publications, briefings, and high-level consultations, I contribute gender-informed analysis to security debates at the UN, NATO, OSCE, various national governments, within civil society and beyond.
